How an Injury Forced Me to Slow Down and Deal with My Health

When the Bouncy House Goes Terribly Wrong!

Injuries always happen for me when I don't listen to myself. Some sign or quiet whisper of intuition that I chose to ignore. Either in the moment, or long before it actually occurred.

And this injury was no different. I didn't listen on many levels, and I rolled my ankle really badly. I just wanted to do the bouncy house and act like a kid, dangit! Something I did that somewhere deep down I knew I shouldn't do. It burns to make an irresponsible choice, and affect people and things around me because of it.

But even though I literally can't walk on my own two feet, the lessons I'm learning are stabalizing. Injuries have a way of slowing me down. Showing me what I need to see and where I need to go next. My plans have certainly been re-routed, but I'm excited for what's to come around the bend.

But for now...more ice!
