Sleuth Smarts: Kombucha
Sleuth Smarts Sunday.
I am JAMMING on Kombucha right now! I didn't drink it for years, and then all of the sudden felt like I needed it. I have experimented with it on and off over the years though, and think it can be tremendous or horrible depending on your specific health situation. It's never one size fits all ;) But I'm loving it right now, and doing a Sleuth Smarts on this fizzy wonder!
It's nicknamed "The Tea of Life." The first brew was made way back when in ancient China over 2,000 years ago! Emporer Shin Qi Huang was the first one in history to take a fizzy gulp.
Rich source of probiotics. The Lactobacillus microbe actually activates our bodies natural cancer killing cells!
Antioxidant and healing affects on the liver.
Stimulates the immune system.
Improves digestion.
Strong antibacterial properties.
Has multiple B Vitamins, which is awesome for mood and concentration.
Contains Vitamin C and DSL, which prevent cell damage and may aid in tumor reduction.
D-saccharic acid-1,4-lactone (DSL), a component of kombucha, inhibits the activity of a certain enzyme indirectly related with cancers.
Contains Glucosamine, which produces Hyaluronic Acid, which reduces arthritis symptoms and protects cartilidge. Not to mention making your skin look bomb.
What is your current favorite flavor of kombucha? Mine is the Pink Lady Basil from GT's!
